News and Game Highlights  - by Coach "G"erosimo

May 9, 2006    After a grueling week playing top competition against the likes of Brewster, Nyack and defending Rockland County Champions Pearl River, twice. The junior Dutchies have come out of a tough stretch undefeated. The team has done it with great pitching, solid defense, and a whole lot of hitting. The most exciting win came against a real gritty Nyack team who at the time had lost only one game. The Dutchies found themselves in a tied game after 7 innings. After a wonderfully played two innings of scoreless ball, the Dutchies held Nyack scoreless and in the bottom of the 10th the Dutchmen struck and won the game improving their record to 10-0. The Dutchmen play a tough Harrison team on Wednesday at Veteran's Park and then travel to Harrison on Friday before starting the Rockland County Tournament on Sat morning.

April 26, 2006    The JV softball team improved their record to 5-0 by defeating Port Chester 21-0.  The girls combined for 17 hits including 2 homeruns one from Kayla Meyer and the other from Katie Unger.  Katie Unger also pitched a no hitter to get her second win of the year.  The team plays at Veteran's Park in Pearl River on Friday at 4:15.  Come support our girls!
